Our reputable client working within the steel fabrication industry is seeking a highly skilled Senior QA/QC Engineer with extensive experience in static equipment fabrication. The successful candidate will have a strong background in EPC projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international codes, industry standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and implement quality assurance and quality control activities related to

• static equipment such as pressure vessels, heat exchangers, columns, and tanks.
• Review project specifications, drawings, codes, and standards (ASME, API, PED, etc.).
• Prepare and review Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Control Procedures (QCPs), and Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS/PQRs).
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and fabrication teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct inspections during fabrication stages – material receiving, cutting, welding, NDT, hydrotesting, and painting.
• Monitor and guide NDT personnel and third-party inspection agencies.
• Issue and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and corrective/preventive actions.
• Ensure proper documentation and final dossier compilation as per client and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in audits (internal, client, and third-party).
• Train and mentor junior QA/QC staff.
• Liaise with clients and project QA/QC teams to ensure smooth execution and timely approvals.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8–12 years of QA/QC experience in static equipment fabrication within EPC or fabrication companies.
• Strong understanding of international codes and standards (ASME Sec VIII Div 1 & 2, API 650/620, AWS D1.1, etc.).
• Hands-on experience in steel fabrication, welding processes, and NDT methods.
• Certifications such as CSWIP 3.1/3.2, AWS-CWI, API, NDT Level II/III are a plus.
• Proficient in QA/QC documentation, ITPs, and traceability requirements.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working in fabrication yards or workshops.
• Exposure to international EPC project requirements.
• Working with client representatives like Aramco, ADNOC, Shell, etc., is an advantage.
